STI France: Running and Walking for a Charitable Cause in Pink October

At STI Freight Management, we're not just a logistics company; we're a friendly group of people who believe in giving back to our communities and making a positive impact on the world. Today, we're excited to share an incredible initiative that our colleagues in France participated in as part of Pink October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, eight colleagues of our STI France team joined forces and laced up their running and walking shoes for a special event in Mennecy. You can find all the details about the event here.
What makes this initiative truly heartwarming is that all the profits, from both registration fees and shirt purchases, were dedicated to the League Against Cancer, specifically for breast cancer research and support. Their dedication contributed to the over 12,000 Euros raised for the noble cause.
The event itself was held in the beautiful Parc de Villeroy in Mennecy, with 5,000 people of all ages coming together for the same important cause. It's incredible to witness the outpouring of support from the community.

But here's the remarkable part: our team didn't have any formal training beforehand. There were three options available: a challenging 10 km race and a 5 km race, which the Managing Director, Bertrand, our great runner, took on, and a 5 km walk for our seven ladies, who are excellent walkers. Bertrand completed the 10 km race in an impressive 41 minutes, and the walkers covered the 5 km in 1 hour.
Kudos to our colleagues in France for participating as a team and for supporting and creating awareness for this important cause. We're truly proud of your dedication.
