S.T.I. Polska Sp. z o.o. is looking for a Financial Controller

Location: 03-230 Warzawa, Region Mazowieckie, Poland

What you will do


In this role you will support the Managing Director and the STI European Headquarter in the provision of high quality financial and management information and consultancy.  This includes reporting month-end accounts to tight deadlines, providing support to the wider finance and operations team in transaction reporting as well as ensuring financial integrity is maintained and recommending improvements to internal procedures.

Your main tasks will be:
  • Participation in preparation of budgets and estimation of financial results
  • Effective control of expenses, analysis of budget execution and deviations
  • Participation in month-end closing process, calculation of service revenue and calculation of reserves
  • Preparation of reports and business analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes
  • Controlling execution of plans, business profitability
  • Ensuring Group Finance Policies and Procedures are adhered to
  • Cooperation and supervision of Shared Services Center
  • Cooperation and supervision of external HR and payroll company
  • Cooperation in projects concerning compliance with tax law requirements
  • Cooperation with the Managing Director and Financial Director at the headquarters in Germany
  • Substantive support for accounting and controlling areas
  • Support for the bonus system
  • Operation of the operating system and CRM
  • Manage, develop and motivate the Finance & Accounting team (incl. appraisals, feedback talks to employees, definition of salaries, recruiting etc.)
  • Management of the company’s ledgers including the period end closedown procedures (US-GAAP)
  • Risk identification – Identify and resolve sources of financial system risk
  • Review of credit control

Your Experience

Education with a major in finance, accounting or economics
Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate finance and cost control
Formal accounting skills to local GAAP or Qualified by Experience
