Responded to an Urgent Pharmaceutical Request
Sometimes, the most important delivery is not the shipment itself. It is what it means for the person waiting for it.
Last week, our Special Transport team at STI (Deutschland) GmbH received an urgent call from a pharmaceutical customer facing a critical situation. Another provider had failed for the second time to collect life saving medication that urgently needed to reach hospitals and pharmacies for onward delivery to patients.
Time was critical.
The medication was needed to ensure patients could continue receiving their treatment at home. Without it, some patients could have required hospital treatment, and any further delay in receiving their medication could have had life threatening consequences.
There was no hesitation.
Our Special Transport team immediately stepped in. Together with one of our trusted transport partners, every available resource was mobilised to take over the operation. While our team coordinated the response, our transport partner reacted with the same urgency, making vehicles and drivers available at very short notice. Colleagues worked late into the night, doing everything possible to ensure the medication was collected and delivered on time.
Everyone involved shared the same goal: helping to ensure that patients waiting for this medication could continue receiving the treatment they urgently needed.
The customer was deeply appreciative of the speed, flexibility, and solution focused support provided throughout the operation. The trust built during this critical situation led to additional transport assignments in the days that followed.
